I just did a review on Confess by Colleen Hoover over on Etherealm so if you'd like you can check that out. I recently finished Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier a couple days ago and I wanted to review it because I really enjoyed reading it.

So basically this book is about a girl named Gwenyth who is descended from a family of time travelers. Her entire family is predicting that her cousin Charlotte will inherit the gene so they have been preparing her for the obstacles she might face in the past. However, Gwenyth ends up receiving the gene and travels back in time completely unprepared. This book has romance, humor, mystery, and suspense which is mixed in with fantasy and time traveling.

I really, really loved this book. The writing style, plot, and even characters reminded me of Percy Jackson even though the stories are nothing alike. However the plots have similar elements that I find very charming.

I absolutely loved the writing style and the characters in Ruby Red. Gwenyth is such a hilarious character. Her thought process is really similar to mine so I can really relate to her. The story has wonderful bits of fantasy and time traveling but also hints of humor which is something that I adore.

The only thing I have to complain about this book is the weird ending. This is going to be a series so this isn't the end of it all but the ending was very abrupt and confusing. As I said, this is a trilogy so an abrupt ending in the first book is really not a big deal. However if the ending had been eased upon the reader that would've been more comforting to read.

Overall I totally loved this book and recommend it to everyone! It's so cute and such an enjoyable read.

Hi everyone!

Sorry again for my absence. I was planning to do so many blog posts and didn't know where to start. I was going to do a review on Confess by Colleen Hoover but I read it so long ago I ended up forgetting a lot of the details.

So last weekend Gremlin ended up running out from my yard while I was playing on my phone. She wasn't wearing a collar at the time so I panicked. I was very scared that someone might have been driving by and just picked her up. I took my bike and looked around for her but couldn't find her. I was at this park when I saw this girl in her car driving by and her window was open so I asked her if she had seen a small black dog. She said she hadn't but could help me drive around and look for Gremlin. I was so grateful for her help and after a while she came driving back and Gremlin was with her.

I was so touched by her kindness especially since I had been looking for Gremlin for around an hour. I didn't even know this girl but she took time out of her schedule to help me, which I am so thankful for.

I guess what I'm trying to say through this blog post is that random acts of kindness can really help someone out. And always keep your dog's collar on! I often take off Gremlin's collar because I feel like it's uncomfortable for her. I've learned my lesson.

Today I'll be talking about Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. I'm currently reading Losing Hope and I'll be doing a review on it as well if that is something you guys would like to see. This is a new adult book, which is not a genre I've read much of because I don't really like this genre too much. When I first decided to read this book, I didn't even know what the new adult genre is and I felt uncomfortable reading a lot of the scenes in this book, haha.

This book has a very specific plot so I don't want to give to much away. Basically this book is about a girl named Sky who makes out with a lot of guys but she doesn't feel anything. Just numbness. She meets a guy that she finally feels attraction towards and she's confused why she feels that way. The book has a lot of twists and turns so if you don't like the sound of this book from the description I gave, you still might enjoy reading it. I can't really talk about the rest of this book because it will give away the story but overall I really liked this book. It was very emotional and had lots of heartbreaking scenes. There are a lot of things that I was not expecting in this book. Out of 10 I would give it an 8.

So go ahead and give this book a read and come back and finish the rest of this blog post. I actually started to work on this blog post a week ago but I got so busy I forgot to finish it. However now that it's my spring break I'm going to get more posts up and running. I've also finished reading another one of Colleen Hoover's books titled Confess so I will definitely be posting a book review for Confess soon. Thanks for reading!
